Douglas Hogg was a Pilot Officer in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, 144 Squadron. He was the son of James and Rose and they lived in High Wycombe. He died on April 18th 1944, aged 27 while flying over the North Sea. His body was never recovered and he is remembered on the Runnymede Memorial. Two weeks before he died he was best man at Mr Pountney’s wedding. Mr Pountney and his wife, Barbara, both attended the School.
