Ronald Mance enlisted into the Royal Fusiliers and served in India and Egypt. During World Ward 2 he fought in Egypt and North Africa.
He was injured in 1943 and returned to England and was transferred to the Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry, 2nd (Airborne) Bn. He was killed during Operation Varsity on March 24th 1945 while landing a glider. He is buried in Reichswald Forest War Cemetery and his listing with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission can be found here.
