Harry Pigram lived in Abercrombie Avenue and having left the School worked at Messrs R Howland and Co. (furniture makers in Denmark Street.)
He volunteered for the RAF as a wireless operator and gunner in 1940. He was posted to the Middle East in 1942 and later to the Central Mediterranean.
He was killed, aged 23, during air operations on March 25th 1944 and is buried in Bari War Cemetery. His listing with the Commonwealth War Grave Commission can be found here.
