U14 county cricket champions!

The U14 team have won their third county cup in as many years after the most dramatic of finishes at Stowe. Playing against our hosts, JHGS posted 177 for 4 from their 30 overs. Captain Harry and Jack put on 117 for the first wicket and there were important contributions from Liam (28 not out) and Josh 16 to accelerate the score at the end of the innings.

In the second innings, JHGS fought back after Stowe got their innings off to a brisk start. Kaian bowled an exceptional spell (6 overs for 19) and then took an extraordinary running catch at long off to dismiss the mainstay of the host’s innings for 82. Seva and Harry took crucial wickets to further peg back the scoring rate. In a tense finale, Aarav bowled the final over and managed to restrict the Stowe batters to just five runs as JHGS prevailed by the barest of margins of just one run. JHGS will represent Bucks in the U15 national phase of the competition in 2026.
