“Whether you want to uncover the secrets of the universe, or you just want to pursue a career in the 21st century, basic computer programming is an essential skill to learn.” – Stephen Hawking.

The Computing department at John Hampden Grammar School prides itself on being a forward-thinking department with computing at its core.   Our outstanding provision ensures that students are given a modern and vibrant learning environment.  Students are taught the principles of computing, how digital systems work and how to put this knowledge to use through programming.  They are encouraged to experiment with software and develop new skills.  Our extra-curricular provision enables to pursue their areas of interest whether that is robotics or venturing into the field of cybersecurity.
