The National Mathematics & Physics (NMAP) SCITT is England’s only school centred provider of subject specific teacher training in Mathematics and Physics with an enhanced focus on subject knowledge and pedagogy.  The NMAP SCITT Programme was developed and is delivered by expert practicing teachers in collaboration with the subject associations.   The SCITT’s most recent Ofsted inspection highlights how well we know our trainees as individuals and support them; Ofsted also commented about our well-structured, cohesive and ambitious curriculum. Please click here for more information.

Teacher of English - Part time

John Hampden Grammar School is seeking a colleague to join our English department from September 2024. The role would suit either a full-time ECT or experienced teacher with the ability to engage and deliver dynamic and effective lessons to our motivated and ambitious students.

We are a very successful oversubscribed selective school for boys.  Categorised as “Outstanding” by Ofsted, our friendly and creative English department has a strong record of academic excellence blended with a wealth of extra-curricular experiences.

Deputy Head of Maths

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Deputy Head of Maths in supporting the HoD with Maths across the school. The successful candidate must be able to display initiative and will have the energy and skills to inspire colleagues with their passion for their subject and for learning. You will be an effective team member and also have the focus and tenacity to ensure successful outcomes are reached. This would be a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious teacher looking to take the first step into leadership.
